I stumbled upon yoga in my early 30s - an avid gym goer, I thought I’d have a go at this stretching thing. I fell headlong into Ashtanga Yoga, loving every minute, spinning into daily practice in no time. Seduced by the physical benefits, I didn’t really understand the effects away from the mat.
Working life eventually dragged me away from regular practice – however, whenever I rolled out the mat, it was like coming home all over again. Always yoga was calling.
In more recent years I have rekindled my love affair with yoga, exploring the philosophy and asana practices more deeply. I love a strong practice still, but also balance the active with more passive practices of meditation, restorative and Yin.
I completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training, Vinyasa Yoga in June 2020 with Nichi Green, The Yoga Space. I continue to delve into yoga philosophy, anatomy and mindfulness as part of my own development.
